There are many of our Indigenous Peoples that are going back go the land in this time of crisis. While I wish I was one of them, alas, I find myself safe at home looking for ways to fill my day. Wake up, eat, nap is pretty much how my days go so it's easy for one day to seamlessly blend into another and next thing you know, you haven't showered in a week, your teeth feel like little caterpillars and your mother is wondering why baby is still wearing the same onesie as yesterday.
While safety if paramount in a time like this so is ones sanity and ability to feel some kind of accomplishment. So recently I have resolved to pick up my beads, my sewing and my broom everyday and do a little something to drive the depression and feeling of inadequacy away.
Now is the time to stock up on well, stock, for the anticipated PowWow season. Sewing masks with filters is also on the list, because we have to practice safety, and as always, maintaining a clean house.
